ڕۆمانی پیاوێکی گاڵتەجاڕانە لە پێنج بەش پێک هاتووە و باسی کەسێک دەکات کە بیر لە خۆی و چۆنیەتی ژیان دەکاتەوە. ڕۆمانەکە بە شێوەیەکی بازنەیی نووسراوە، واتە لە کۆتایی ڕووداوەکەوە دەست پێ دەکات و دواتر دەگەڕێتەوە بۆ سەرەتا و دیسان کۆتایی. یانی وەکو بازنەیەک وایە لە کۆتاییەوە دەست پێ دەکات دیسان دێتەوە بۆ کۆتا خاڵ. ڕۆمانەکە بە شێوەی مەنەلۆگ نووسراوە، هەر کارەکتەرێک تێیدا بەشدارە و قسە لەگەڵ خودی خۆی دەکات، بەڵام منداڵێک و چەند کەسێک بە شێوەیەکی لاوەکی بەدیار دەکەون. کرۆکی بابەتەکە ئەوەیە مرۆڤێکی هۆشیار لە ناو کۆمەڵێکی ناهۆشیاردا دەژی و دەیەوێت وا لە خەڵکی بکات کە واقعی ژیان ببینن. ئەم کارەکتەرە دەیەوێت خۆی بکوژێت، بەڵام پەشیمان دەبێتەوە لە کارەکەی و بەردەوامی بە ژیان دەدات. سەختە مرۆڤێک لە ناو کۆمەڵێکدا بژی کە وەکو ئەو نەبن و واقع نەبینن و هۆشیار نەبن و سەڕەڕای ئەوەش مرۆڤە هۆشیارەکە بە گاڵتەجاڕ تەماشا بکەن و بڕوا بە قسەکانی نەکەن و خۆیان مژوڵی نەزانی بکەن، بەڵام بۆ ئەوەی کۆمەڵێک هۆشیار بکەیتەوە و وایان لێ بکەیت واقعببینن و بە شتی پڕوپووچەوە نەیگوزەرێنن، کارێکی قورسە، بەڵام لە ڕێگەی هەوڵی بەردەوامەوە بە ئامانج دەگەیت.
کەسێک خەیاڵ ئەکات و دەڵێت کە دەبوو ژیان جۆرێکی تر بێت، خۆی بە جۆرێک هۆشیارە بەڵام خەڵکی بە گاڵتەجار تەماشای دەکەن، ئەو خەم لەوە ناخوات کە بە گاڵتەجاڕ تەماشا بکرێت، بەڵکو دەڵێت خەم لەوە دەخۆم کە خەڵکی واقع وەک من نابین. بینینی واقعی ژیان وەکو خۆی قورسە و هەندێک لە تاکەکان دەیبینن نەک هەمووی. خەمی ئەم کارەکتەرە نەبینینی واقیعە لە لایەن تاکەکانەوە. کارەکتەرەکە خەو دەبینێت بە ژیانێک لە چەشنی بەهەشت کە مرۆڤەکان تێیدا بە پاکی و بێگەردی و بێ درۆ دەژین، هەمیشە پێدەکەنن، درۆ و دزی و بەخیلی و شەرم و کوشتن نییە، بەڵکو دەژین نەک بیر لە چۆنیەتی ژیان بکەنەوە.

Book Introduction
The Dream of a Ridiculous Man, by Fyodor Dostoevsky, brings questions of meaning, isolation and moral change into a concentrated narrative.
